Robie Harris: I should know, given that my books have been frequently challenged.

Carolyn Mackler: The best way to counter censorship is to bring these challenges to life. And the best way to liberate banned books is to read them. This year we'll be participating a Banned Books Read-Out in Chicago, along with several of our fellow authors, whose works have been banned or challenged.

Robie Harris: Celebrate your freedom to read with us on Saturday, September 29th at Pioneer Plaza.

Carolyn Mackler: Just north of the Chicago River on Michigan Avenue.

Chris Crutcher: Admission is free. For additional event information, a complete list of our readers, and more on events around the country, please visit www.ala.org/bbooks. See you in Chicago.
