The Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian played host June 22 to a traditional honor dance to celebrate the inauguration of ALA President-Elect Loriene Roy. In this short video shot during the 2007 ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., Master of Ceremonies Dennis Zotigh encourages the large crowd to participate in a "round dance," followed by a short speech from Roy.
