Great video
Great job on this - getting locals to give us local info is very helpful. travel time, locations, walking info, maps etc very helpful. Makes it a little less overwhelming. Maybe do some more. Thanks.
Thanks for the push!
I've been on the fence about attending, only for financial reasons. Your video blew me off the fence!
Thanks for the push! The video is great!

Fun in Anaheim, Part 2
I just added a comment, and was told it was potential SPAM, so it had to be approved by the someone first. Interesting. I wonder what made it so? Or, are all comments considered SPAM until approved?

Hi Maxine! Because you have an AL Focus account, your comment was posted automatically without needing approval. I'm not sure why you received that spam message, but I'll look into it!
Fun in Anaheim, Parts 1 and 2
The one that appeared, that you answered, was my 2nd posting. The first is still in review.

Those maps in the video are helpful!
Fun in Anaheim
When I go to conferences, I find myself in sessions, committee meetings, and programs starting at 7 am, and going until 10 pm on most evenings. I'm hoping to get release time for the conference, so that I can use vacation time before and/or after the conference to have FUN! I have relatives in California, including a 1 1/2 year old granddaughter (as of June 2008), so I'm hoping I will get the release time for the conference, so I can take my daughter and her family for a fun vacation. Just not during the convention itself. But, as another person commented, knowing there's so much to see and do, I'm hoping my bosses can see past this to the importance of going to the conference itself. Sigh.

Fun in Anaheim
Did I understand correctly -- you expect me to ask for my library to support my attendance at a library conference where I will fill my time with disney, shopping, beaching, eating and perhaps visiting a library with empty shelves. That's gonna be a tough sell. I can hear the response already -- if you want to vacation in Anaheim, it'll have to be on your own time and dime.

Fun, indeed!
J, I think you understood the video's purpose with your subject line: Fun in Anaheim. You'll have to wait just a bit for more info on the actual conference events.
And those shelves were empty because they're brand new! As the librarian says in the video, it's part of a new children's area that is still in construction. Those shelves should be plenty full by June. Come see for yourself!
